Todd Akin's recent act of political suicide--his assertion that rape victims never conceive--has given us an opening to see what this year's election is really all about.
Akin has given the Democratic party a target to shoot at, a sucker to pick on and a new theme for their upcoming convention: The glories of legal abortion.
Yes, the economy is in serious trouble. Yes, the Obama administration has no clue about how to stimulate economic growth. Yes, Obama has a record that cannot be defended politically. But make no mistake, this election, like every election since 1973, is not about the economy. This election is about abortion.
You can watch every liberal pundit blame today's economic mess on the supply-siders who gave us the greatest period of economic growth in U.S. history. You can also watch the Republicans debate them. It's all hot air.
The only reason that liberal pundits like Ed Schultz, Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd, Arianna Huffington, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews and others of their ilk are suddenly economic "experts" is to deflect attention from what they and the minions they lead really care about: Abortion.
This crowd will concoct psuedoeconomic theory and pad polls until they run out of lies, and they do it for one reason: Abortion.
The leadership of the Democratic Party is terrified that when one of the liberal justices on the Supreme Court retires, he/she could be replaced with a conservative justice who is pro-life and might reverse Roe v. Wade.
It's that simple. That's what it's all about.
The Democratic Party Only Cares About Abortion. Of course, they are also courting the homosexual vote to further their agenda of amoralism, but that's secondary. It's abortion. The Democrats are rabid that legal abortion must be preserved, enforced and expanded.
Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion provider, owns the Democratic Party. Any Democratic politician who denounces them is toast.
NARAL owns the Democratic Party. Any Democratic politician who tries to be pro-life is finished.
NOW (National Organization of Women) owns the Democratic Party. If they turn on a Democratic candidate, it's over.
In 1992, Governor Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, one of the last pro-life Democrats left, wanted to deliver a speech to the Democratic Convention. He was shut down and silenced. Why? Because he was going to deliver a pro-life speech defending the right of innocent unborn children to live.
You can watch the dance about economics all you like. In the end it doesn't matter. The Democratic Party has stopped being gracious politically. They are sore losers. They are rabid about doing anything, no matter now immoral, to win. When any poll suggests they are falling behind, they panic and start raging. The Democratic Party is completely, demonically devoted to the embrace of baby-killing and they will not tolerate anyone or anything that threatens the ongoing genocide.
This party has sold its soul. Debates are nice, but we would be better served to pray more rosaries and offer more Masses. American politics isn't politics anymore. It's spiritual warfare.
